Dr. Robert Hillstrom
Medical Director
Dr. Robert P. Hillstrom is a recognized expert in the field of facial plastic surgery and has been selected by his peers for inclusion in "Best Doctors in America" every year since 1995. He has authored numerous articles relating to aesthetic facial surgery and a textbook chapter on "Reconstructive Nasal Surgery". He is a very caring and committed physician who has served as part of numerous hospital, professional and civic organizations since settling in Florida in 1990.
Born in suburban Chicago, Dr. Hillstrom is a 1980 graduate of the University of Notre Dame, and he received his medical degree from the Loyola University of Chicago, Stritch School of Medicine in 1984. He completed his internship and residency training in Head and Neck Surgery at the Detroit Medical Center/Wayne State University, which was followed by fellowship training in Facial Plastic Surgery with the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Hillstrom is Board Certified in both Head and Neck Surgery and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
In addition to his certification and training, Dr. Hillstrom has served as president of the Florida Society of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (1998 - 1999), Chief of Staff of Blake Medical Center (1999 - 2001) in Bradenton and most recently, Chief of Staff of Lakewood Ranch Medical Center (2004 - 2005) in Sarasota, Florida. In 1991, he was presented with the John Orlando Roe Award by the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery for the most outstanding scholarly paper in the field of facial plastic and reconstructive surgery.
Louise Short
Spa Director/Medical Aesthetician
Louise began her career in England by achieving the prestigious CIDESCO diploma, an internationally recognized degree in the Esthetics field. She opened her own business in England which led to an opportunity in the Middle East where she pioneered a Spa for the Diplomatic Community in Amman, Jordan. She worked and traveled extensively with her husband, a US military officer. Her work experience included Spas in Washington DC; Pinehurst, NC; and Georgia. In Tampa, Louise managed the Esthetics department at Spa Malia, worked for a local plastic surgeon, and directed the Spa Department at Marcelina, a private women's club. More recently she was employed at the Red Door Spa at Saks Fifth Avenue. She then invested her knowledge and training into Esthetics students at a local training school.
Louise brings her thirty years of experience to direct Esteem Med Spa and she has the vision to establish and maintain Esteem Med Spa as the foremost location for luxurious yet highly technical cutting edge treatments. She plans to take this most beautiful Spa to the next level by customizing every clients beauty and wellness needs until the desired results are attained. Our skillful and highly trained team are dedicated to providing professional yet personalized service to every one of our most valuable clients.
Jennifer Garlick
Aesthetic Enhancement Specialist/Nurse Practitioner
Jennifer Garlick, ARNP graduated with a B.S.N. from the University of South Florida in 1999. Her first jobs in Tampa included working on the pediatric unit at Tampa General Hospital and the Gyn-Thoracic oncology floor at Moffitt Cancer Center. She moved to New Jersey in 2001 and continued her work with caring for oncology patients at Saint Barnabas Hospital, while attending Rutgers University for her master's of science in nursing. Her career path next led her to Morristown Memorial Hospital where she worked on a hematology-oncology unit. She received her M.S.N. in 2004 with a specialty certification in Family Health. Her first job as a nurse practitioner was with a private practice hematology-oncology physician group. Her husband's career led them back to Tampa in 2006 and she joined American Laser Centers as a Nurse Practitioner. This career switch then led her to Esteem Medspa, where she has now worked since early 2007.
A devoted wife, and Mother to two young children, Jenn possesses a naturally gentle disposition and nurturing nature. From the start of her aesthetics career, Jenn distinguished herself as a trustworthy individual with a kind heart, steady hand, and artistic eye. Certified to operate Aesthetic Lasers and inject Botox and Restylane her effectiveness is evidenced by the steady stream of satisfied clients eager to share their exceptional make-over results with friends and family.

Whitney Clowney
Aesthetic Enhancement Specialist/Physician's Assistant
Whitney has been a part of the South Tampa community for over 25 years. She is a proud graduate of Wake Forest University where she earned her bachleor's degree in psychology with a minor in biology. She then moved on to earn a master's degree in Physician Assistant studies from the University of Florida in 2004. Whitney started her carrer in internal medicine and then spent over two years working with a neurologist specializing in epilepsy and sleep disorders prior to joining the Esteem Team in the summer of 2007. She has received formal training in injectables and laser procedures. She is very excited about and commited to helping her patients improve their self esteem through improved self image.
In her spare time, Whitney enjoys spending time with her family, and especially her young son Grayson.
Sue Alexander Licensed Medical Aesthetician
Sue Alexander is an acupuncturist and Aesthetician. After graduating with honors from the Florida Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine, she completed a 3-month externship at Xiamen TCM Hospital in Xiamen, China. Additionally, she has certification in Cosmetic Acupuncture, Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Acupuncture Injection Therapy. After graduating from Loraine's Academy in St. Petersburg, Fl., she embarked on a rewarding career in Medical Aesthetics. She holds certification in both medical Microdermabrasion and chemical peels. As a spa professional, Sue integrates traditional and innovative methods to improve health and enhance beauty, always seeking ways to make the experience unique and nurturing for the spa-goer. Sue's specialties include Medical Grade Peels, Microdermabrasion, Customized Facials, Cellulite Reduction and Nutritional Supplement Injections.
Kerisah Zuber
Licensed Medical Aesthetician
Kerisah is native of Meriden, Connecticut and has made her way to the sunny state of Florida with a few stops along the way including Greensboro and Charlotte, North Carolina. After studying accounting at Guilford College, she then embarked in an exciting career in esthetics at the Aveda Institute in Charlotte. After graduating from Aveda, she constantly kept herself up to date with trends in the skin care industry. As a representative of Origins Skincare, she also learned the importance of ingredients and functions of products to bring skin to its' optimum health. It is also important to her to incorporate the connection between inner wellness and outside beauty. With extensive training in skin advances such as chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and light therapy, she is excited to share her knowledge and bring you happy, healthy skin. Kerisah's specialties include Medical Grade Peels, Microdermabrasion, Cellulite Reduction, Customized Facials, Skin Care and Mineral Makeup.

Michelle is a native to Tampa, born and raised in the beautiful Florida sunshine. An honors graduate from the University of South Florida, Honors College, Michelle attained her degree in Marketing. Being exposed to the sun constantly, she has come to appreciate the advances that have been made to correct the damage that the sun creates. Growing up with acne prone skin, she became very discouraged when there seemed to be no solution in sight. Dr. James Amsberry
Dr. James Amsberry is a highly-skilled Plastic Surgeon with a distinctive academic background. With over 14 years of surgical expertise and extensive experience in Otolaryngology (Head and Neck Surgery) and Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Amsberry consistently received top honors throughout his academic life, including graduating Summa Cum Laude from the Franciscan University (BA). He earned his medical degree from the ORU - School of Medicine in Tulsa, Oklahoma where he likewise garnered a host of awards and distinctions. He went on to eight years of surgical training in several prestigious institutions including University of California (Davis-East Bay) Thomas Jefferson University Hospital (Philadelphia, PA), Oregon Health Sciences University (Portland, OR), and is currently the Chairman of the Department of Plastic Surgery at the Naval Medical Center, San Diego, California.
He is a member of various reputable medical organizations such as the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, American Academy of Otolaryngology (Head and Neck Surgery) and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is currently active in the practice of laser medicine and surgery and a Medical monitor of several laser research projects.

Mr. James Parrott
Mr. James Parrott has 20 years of diversified healthcare business development and management experience. His extensive healthcare background includes serving as Administrator of a multi-site Cosmetic Surgery group; Western Regional Manager for a major pharmaceutical firm; and Vice President of Business Development for an emerging healthcare company with responsibility for opening a multitude of free-standing facilities across the western half of the United States.
Mr. Parrott brings a wealth of knowledge in the areas of Regulation Compliance, Insurance, and acquisition of Medical Technology.
John Buckingham
Mr. Buckingham is a founding board member of the International Medical Spa Association and serves as their Vice President of Corporate Affairs. He has co-created, with the University of California, Irvine, a new Spa and Hospitality Management Certificate Program. The first and only one of its kind in the United States, this program meets the growing spa and wellness industry demands for spa management professionals. Mr. Buckingham serves on the UCI faculty of this new program teaching the MedSpa and Marketing courses.
